MUT 2026 Registration: Important Dates & Online Registration Guide
Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) has officially announced its 2026 registration schedule, along with clear guidelines on how students should complete the process. All students are encouraged to read the information carefully to avoid delays or complications during registration.
No Walk-In Applications Allowed
MUT has reiterated that walk-in applications are not allowed under any circumstances.
All applications must be submitted through the Central Applications Office (CAO). Applicants should regularly check their application status on www.cao.ac.za.

Registration Commencement
- First-Time Entering Students (FTENs):
Monday, 19 January 2026 - Returning Students:
Monday, 26 January 2026
Registration Periods
- Annual & First Semester Registration:
19 January โ 30 January 2026 - First Semester Late Registration:
02 February โ 06 February 2026 - Second Semester Registration:
13 July โ 17 July 2026 - Second Semester Late Registration:
20 July โ 24 July 2026
Students are strongly advised to register within the official dates to avoid late registration penalties.

- MUT understands that many students may be registering online for the first time.
- Beware of scams โ MUT does not charge for admission assistance outside official channels.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Register Online at MUT
Follow all the steps below carefully to complete your registration successfully.
Online Registration Steps
- Visit www.mut.ac.za
- Click on Student Portal
- Select Student iEnabler
- Click on Student
- Enter your student number
- Enter your PIN
- Use your current PIN, or the default PIN 46579 if it has not been changed
- Click Login
- On the left-hand menu, click Registration
- Select Rules and Regulations
- Scroll down and click I Accept
- Click Submit Registration
- Select your Employment Status and choose UNEMPLOYED
- Click Save and Continue
- Select all eligible subjects by ticking the checkboxes
- Click Save and Continue
- Click Continue
- Click Accept Registration
โ Registration is now complete - Click Proof of Registration on the left-hand menu
- Print or save your registration status
- Student card activation will be done on campus
Important: All 20 steps must be completed for you to be fully registered as a MUT student.
